Well done to everyone who graded in our 2024 Q1 grading. We are proud to say that everyone passed! We can’t wait to see you in our next gradings later this year!

This was the largest grading to date, which is really exciting! Since then, we have been thinking about how to make our gradings more scalable as the club grows, and as a result we have made some changes to how we will give feedback going forward.

We have removed the individual sections for the criteria that students will be marked on, along with the marks out of 10 for each one (e.g. power, stances, focus, etc.). Instead, we will just be giving written comments for each section across all the criteria. The reason for this, is that we feel that we will be able to give more valuable and clearer feedback this way. Plus, it will remove the need to mark something that doesn’t necessarily need attention. We will still be giving an overall mark out of 10 for each section so that students still have a quantifiable grade to work with.

The grading format itself will remain the same.
