The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

What Is D of E?

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (D of E) is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of activities open to young adults aged 14 to 24. D of E has three levels, Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Bronze and Silver have four sections, which are Volunteering, Physical, Skills, and Expedition; Gold additionally has a Residential section.

Organisations that work with young people are licenced by The D of E to run Duke of Edinburgh programmes, such as schools, colleges, youth groups and clubs.

How we can help

Talon TKD and D of E

We take pride in the success of the members of our club, and have helped a number of our students achieve their D of E award set by their schools or colleges. With Taekwondo being a martial art, it is an excellent option for fulfilling the physical section of a Bronze, Silver, or Gold award. This means that students who participate in our classes have the opportunity to complete the practical requirement of their D of E award while also learning valuable skills such as self-defence, discipline, and focus.

We are dedicated to helping our students achieve their goals and are pleased to provide them with the resources and support they need to succeed in both Taekwondo and their everyday lives.
