With December almost upon us, please see below for the training arrangements leading up to the end of the year and our bookings for the start of 2024:

  • Final Grading of 2023 on Monday 11th December 2023 – All students welcome for mock or assessed grading. Please speak to your instructor if you are interested.
  • Final Merrow Village Hall class of 2023 on Monday 18th December 2023 – All students welcome
  • Final Onslow Infants School class of 2023 on Wednesday 20th December 2023 – All students welcome
  • First Onslow Infants School class of 2024 on Wednesday 3rd January 2024
  • First Merrow Village Hall class of 2024 on Monday 8th January 2024
  • Additional Merrow Village Hall class on Thursday 18th January 2024 – To offset missed class week commencing 22nd January due to Merrow annual Pantomime
  • No Class on Monday 22nd January 2024 – Replacement classes on Thursday 18th January at Merrow Village Hall or Wednesday 24th January at Onslow Infants
  • No Class on Monday 29th January 2024 – Replacement classes on Wednesday 31st January at Onslow Infants or Thursday 1st February at Merrow Village Hall

To see the year off with a bang, on the 18th and 20th December, we encourage all our students to come along in their usual Doboks with added “festive cheer”. Providing it’s safe for exercise, this could be anything from wrapping tinsel around your belt, to Christmas hats. If you have one, you could even wear a Christmas jumper instead of your Dobok top – you might get a bit warm though!

During each class, we will play Christmas music, do Christmas-themed activities, win sweets and chocolates, and an exciting addition this year, we will be doing Breaking! If you’re new, Breaking (also known as Destruction) is simply using Taekwondo techniques to break boards. Each board will have varying difficulty levels, and we will help you test your limits and progress to the harder boards throughout the duration of the lesson.
